DESCRIPTION:KVIS brings you two nights of Oscar-nominated Short Films \nJoin your friends and neighbors for one or two evenings of short films\,\nand judge for yourself before the Academy Awards show on Sunday\, February 9th \nDrinks\, movie snacks and reception starting at 7pm. Films will begin rolling at 7:30pm.  \nOn Friday evening\, Katonah resident and film director\, producer and writer Chris Wedge will join in the animated short films post-screening discussion. His films include Ice Age\, Robots\, Epic\, and Monster Trucks. He is co-founder of Blue Sky Studios and he won the Academy Award in 1998 for the best animated short\, Bunny. \nLimited seating available for this well-attended event \nBuy Your Tickets In Advance by Friday at NOON! \n$25 for Animated Shorts 1/31 \n$20 for Live Action Shorts 2/1  \nIf seats are available – ticket will be sold at the door for an additional $5. \nAll proceeds to benefit KVIS \n\nFriday\, January 31\nAnimated Shorts with Chris Wedge!\nClick here for more about the animated short nominees. \nOscar note – the films start at 7:30\, they are not suitable for children. See below from distributor: \nAnimated Shorts: PG-13. The themes tackled in this year’s Animated program are quite heavy – the death of a parent\, Alzheimer’s\, China’s one child policy\, and more. The program overall is rather melancholy\, and while there’s nothing especially objectionable within\, most of these shorts will not appeal to children under 12\, at all.
