This inspirational and enduring 1989 drama (100 min.) is the true and powerful tale of the compassion, courage, and collaboration that launched a global movement in the 1930s that continues to save lives. It depicts the gripping story of longtime Katonah residents and humanitarians – Bill Wilson, Alcoholics Anonymous Cofounder, and Lois Wilson, Al-Anon Family Groups Cofounder – and other 12-Step recovery pioneers who turned their despair into a modern response to addiction recovery and mutual aid. The occasion also commemorates Al-Anon’s 75th year since its 1951 founding in Katonah.
