Since its founding, KVIS has been active in sponsoring community activities that enhance the quality of life of its residents and build a strong sense of community. Each year, KVIS volunteers organize events that bring new and old village neighbors together such as:
- K5K Road Race
- Katonah Halloween Parade
- Katonah Community Picnic
- KVIS Wine Tasting
- Paddle Tennis Tournament
- Live Theatre Productions
In addition to sponsoring village cultural and social events, KVIS sponsors a Town Forum where residents can learn about, question, and weigh in on various aspects of village life. Also in the spring, KVIS organizes a community-wide clean-up day. KVIS has helped coordinate community-wide celebrations such as the Millennium Party, Katonah’s 100th birthday, the Cen20ial event marking Katonah’s 120 years, and the Katonah 125th Celebration, featuring the unveiling of the historic marker at the gazebo.
We also support our younger Katonah residents with an annual high school scholarship to a deserving graduating John Jay High School senior. Candidates must demonstrate how they have contributed to fostering the spirit of community in Katonah.
